The Venturer Scout<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0emphasizes having fun while encouraging teens to feel good about themselves, their friends and family, and the environment. Venturers helps teens advance their leadership skills and gain self-confidence.<\/p>

The Venturer Scout<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0program offers exciting, real-life, hands-on experiences for youth.
Venturer Scouts\u00a0l<\/span>earn<\/span>\u00a0to nurture an active, healthy lifestyle, acquire the knowledge and skills for career development and participate in thrilling outdoor\u00a0adventures.<\/p>

Weekend events, extended hikes, no-trace camping and more round out the Venturer Scout experience.
In addition to outdoor adventure, community service and leadership development, the Venturer Scout program offers:<\/p>

  • Survivorman Challenge<\/li>
  • FOCUS Leadership Training<\/li>
  • Scouts of the World Program<\/li>
  • Scouters-in-Training and Activity Leaders<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Venturers Scouts<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0promotes activities that encourage teens to:<\/p>

    • Show that they care and live according to their personal values and\u00a0beliefs<\/li>
    • Develop and use the skills of communicating, solving problems and making decisions<\/li>
    • Explore vocational opportunities<\/li>
    • Participate in a variety of social, cultural and spiritual activities<\/li>
    • Work cooperatively in adult-like settings<\/li>
    • Participate in challenging physical and outdoor activities<\/li>
    • Become aware of and respond to needs of the community and the environment<\/li><\/ul>

      The Venturer Scout<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0program is built around a lively variety of activities based on personal and group interests. Venturing emphasizes outdoor and environmental activities, citizenship and community service, leadership and personal development, and career exploration. Individual interests and skills are recognized through an awards system.<\/p>

      The outdoors is an essential part of the Venturer Scout program. Weekend events, extended hikes, no trace camping and seasonal sports opportunities round out the Venturer experience. Developing an active, healthy lifestyle is the prime goal. As well, Venturing helps teens learn new knowledge and skills that can lead to a satisfying career.<\/p>

      Venturer Scouts<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0meet<\/span>\u00a0in a group called a company. Here they develop and manage their own program with the help of an adult advisor. Each Venturer learns a promise and motto to help guide their personal development.<\/p>

      • To respect my country and my beliefs,<\/li>
